Railroad Flat Campground - Merced River Area Camping


Railroad Flat Campground surrounded by oaks and pines along the Merced River is located at 1,200 feet elevation in the Sierra National Forest. To access the campsites go to Mariposa Visitor Bureau, travel north on Highway 140 11.8 miles, turn left at Briceburg Visitor Center. Cross over Briceburg Bridge, travel 4.5 miles to campground. Maximum length of stay is 14 days, and maximum group size is 8 per site. No water available in the campground. Drinking water is available across the Briceburg Bridge.

Provides recreational facilities along the Merced River. Total campsites are nine. Three walk-in sites/ 6 vehicle/RV sites - Campground is accessible to persons with disabilities.
