Hello from the Watershed, We’d like to invite you to the Second Annual Merced River Alliance Dinner to be held on Tuesday, November 14, at the Yosemite Bug Hostel about 15 miles east of Mariposa on Highway 140.

After a buffet dinner (with meat or vegetarian choices), Maia Singer, PhD., Stillwater Science project director for the biological monitoring, will give us a sneak preview of the preliminary results of monitoring breeding birds and fish. The cost of the evening is $12 per person; reservations must be made by Friday, November 10. Please see the attached file for reservation details. For participants with an interest in the history of the Merced River and the once thriving town of Briceburg, a talk at the Briceburg Visitor Center will be held prior to the dinner. At 4:00 p.m. come listen to local historian Sharon Giacomazzi tell fascinating stories of the personalities and lives of those who once lived in the watershed. Sharon is the author of several books on the Sierra, among them, Trails & Tales of Yosemite & the Central Sierra. Hope to see you at this special event!
